Dear Mr Kennett,
Thank you for your email of 21 September in which you made the following refined request for
information:
I would therefore like to reduce
the scope of my request to only include press releases from any of the
ministers that relate my original request and clarification.
I understand that the BBC is an independant organisation funded by the
licence fee. The 'support' I refer to in my request is therefore not
financial support but written support or transcripts of verbal support on
the subject. I anticipate that this could be statements by Ministers or MPs
in Parliament, press releases, answers to questions during press
conferences or speeches by ministers.
We have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). I can
confirm that the department holds no information within scope of your request. This is because
none of the department’s ministers have made any press releases on the BBC licence fee
change
However, more generally, you may wish to be aware any ministerial press releases can be
found on gov.uk. Statements made in parliament are
found on the parliament.uk website.
