Dear Dr Mills

Freedom of Information Act 2000

This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I am writing to inform you that we have searched our records and some of the
information you requested is not held by Warwickshire County Council.

I have detailed below the information that is held.
As I understand it the former recreation ground at the bottom of Done Cerce close,
Dunchurch was situated on land leased by Dunchurch Parish Council from
Warwickshire County Council.

Around 8 years ago the land was transferred from DPC to WCC. The equipment has
since been removed and the land is overgrown. Can you confirm or correct this
understanding mine.

Can you tell me why the land was transferred away from DPC to WCC?
We do not have a definite answer as to why the land was transferred though it is
presumed that the reasoning would have been down to funding for the area by
Dunchurch Parish Council.  We would advise contacting the Parish Council for
clarification on this.

And why was the equipment removed?
The play equipment would have been removed to allow the area to be added to
WCC Tenanted land.

Also, are there any future plans for the site?
The land is currently let for grazing (short term), the long-term plans for the site
are yet to be confirmed.  The current tenancy is in place 01/04/2020 – 31/03/2021,
this is a rolling 12-month tenancy.
