xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx Dear Ms Parasmo
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST – REF: FOI-70-20
I refer to your Freedom of Information request for information received by the University
of Wolverhampton on 27 March 2020, in which you requested access to the following
information, specifically:
• the total value of spend on staff recruitment agencies; and
• the amount spent with each agency for the academic year 2018/2019.
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the
Freedom of Information
Act 2000. You will receive a response by 24 April 2020, in accordance with the
statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act. In some circumstances
we may be unable to achieve this deadline. In this instance you will be informed and
given a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of the information
you request. You will be informed accordingly if a fee is applicable and the 20 working
day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment from you. If you choose not
to make payment then your request will be withdrawn.
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to another public
authority in order to satisfy your request. You will be informed if your request is
transferred to another public authority.
Given the current circumstances that the UK finds itself in relating to the Coronavirus
(COVID-19), the University along with many other Universities, is required to divert
resources away from our usual compliance procedures and follow the Government
advice, with many staff now working from home.
This may mean, the response to your request will be potentially delayed and
compliance with the original response date may not be possible, as access to the
necessary online services may be limited. Please be mindful that the University will try
to the best of its ability to provide the requested information to you as soon as possible.
The current situation has been acknowledged by the ICO in recent guidance given to
Information Governance practitioners. The ICO has provided that they understand that
in the current circumstances organisations might divert resources both of a financial
and physical nature away from its usual compliance or Information Governance work.
Although the statutory deadline for compliance with your request remains, they
understand that requester’s (such as yourselves) may experience understandable
delays during these extraordinary times.
If you have any concerns regarding the contents of this letter, please feel free to
contact us to discuss the matter further.
Should you have any enquiries regarding your request for information, please do not
hesitate to contact legal services via email at
xxx@xxx.xx.xx. Yours sincerely
Liam Jackson
