Dear Mr Holdsworth Freedom of Information Act Request: Our ref #2019
Thank you for your FOI request, please find below our response:
We do not routinely test blood counts for all patients and they are only carried out depending on their age
or co-morbidities. To determine this information would require a manual trawl of all patient records, which
would exceed the nominal time and cost for the provision of information free of charge under the terms of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Should you wish to proceed with the enquiry we can offer to provide you with an estimated fees
notification to provide this information.
I hope that this response answers your request, however please let me know if it does not. If you are
unhappy with the Trust’s response you can appeal to:
The Royal Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust
Bristol Road South
Birmingham B31 2AP
If you then remain dissatisfied, you have the right under section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act to
apply to the Information Commissioner to seek resolution to the matter.
