FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST – REF: FOI-67-20  
  
I refer to your Freedom of Information request for information received by the University 
of Wolverhampton on 16 March 2020, in which you requested access to the following 
information, specifically: 
 
•  To provide information for the last five complete academic years (2014/15 to 
2018/19), regarding: 
1.  The subsidies provided by the university to external bus companies 
operating university bus routes, broken down by: 
a.  student travel; 
b.  university staff travel; and 
c.  any other subsidy provided.   
2.  The expenditure and income from any university provided bus services, 
including shuttle busses, broken down by: 
a.  student travel; 
b.  university staff travel; 
c.  bus staff salary; 
d.  equipment costs covering vehicles and facilities; and 
e.  any other operating costs.  
3.  The  number of complaints received by the university regarding 
university bus services.  
  
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of Information 
Act 2000
. You will receive a response  by  13 April  2020,  in accordance with the 
statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act. In some circumstances 
we may be unable to achieve this deadline. In this instance you will be informed and 
given a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity. 
  
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of the information 
you request. You will be informed accordingly if a fee is applicable and the 20 working 
day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment from you. If you choose not 
to make payment then your request will be withdrawn. 
  
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to another public 
authority in order to satisfy your request. You will be informed  if your request is 
transferred to another public authority.
