You have requested the following information: 
 
I would like to know how much money the council has spent on political advisers for 
each council department dating from 2010 - present. 
 
I would also like to know how much money or donations the council has spent on 
political advisers for each councillor dating from 2010 - present. 
 
Response: 
 
We have interpreted your references to political advisers as referring to assistants for 
political groups under section 9 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. 
Providing a legal service for Manchester City Council and Salford City Council.
