I  write  in  connection  with  your  request  for  information  dated  19th  November  2019  concerning  the 
Official Secrets Act 1911-1989. 
 
I  am  required  by  the  Freedom  of Information  Act  2000 to  handle  all requests  in  a  manner  that  is 
blind as to the identity and motives of the requester. Any information released as a response to a 
request is regarded as being published and therefore in the public domain without caveat. 
 
Following  receipt  of  your  request,  searches  were  conducted  within  the  Office  of  the  Police  and 
Crime Commissioner (OPCC). I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by 
the Police and Crime Commissioner. 
 
You wrote: 
 
1) Please, can you provide a list of all employee roles who are employed by your authority and are 
subject to the provisions as set out in the Official Secrets Acts 1911-1989?  
 
This can be provided in any format, however, a spreadsheet detailing each role and a mark as to 
whether the role requires the role holder to sign a declaration as to their recognition of being bound 
thus required to comply with the Act(s).  
 
2) Please provide a disclosure of the format used by your authority which requires the signature of 
any role holder who is subject to provisions as set out in the Official Secrets Acts 1911-1989 such

Searches of the OPCC show that no such information is held. I have made enquiries with Wiltshire 
Police  and  understand  that  this  information  may  be  held  by  them.  I  have,  therefore,  transferred 
your request to the Force Disclosure Unit.
