Dear Ms Thornton

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) 2000, relating to Kent Test Scores. Please see the response provided below:
FOR 2018 AND 2019 I WOULD LIKE THE REDACTED KENT TEST SCORES FOR
EACH SECTION AND TOTAL FOR ALL CHILDREN WHO FAILED THE KENT TEST
BUT WERE FOUND SUITABLE FOR A SINGLE GRAMMAR SCHOOL INCLUDING
THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL THEY WERE FOUND SUITABLE FOR AND WHETHER
OR NOT THE HEADTEACHER SUBMITTED AN APPEAL FOR THE KENT TEST
AND WAS IT UPHELD OR NOT.

KCC cannot provide the total number of children achieving any particular total score
because those numbers could be used, in combination with the report on the KCC
website, to calculate information we would redact in order to release that information.
The only totals we can provide for each score are those already published. As the
information could potentially identify the individuals involved if combined with other
data, release would constitute a breach of the Data Protection Act 2018.  Therefore,
this information is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 on the grounds that it is personal information.

How many of those children were found suitable for more than one grammar
school. How many of those children sat entrance tests for another grammar
school but were found unsuitable.
As above.

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied with
legislation, you have 40 working days from the date of this response to ask for a review.
You can do this by following our complaints process; details can be found at this link
https://www.kent.gov.uk/about-the-council/complaints-and-compliments#tab-9 on our
website. Please quote reference 9897977.

If you remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can appeal to the Information
Commissioner, who oversees compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Details of what you need to do, should you wish to pursue this course of action, are
available from the Information Commissioner’s website http://ico.org.uk/concerns
Yours sincerely
