INFORMATION REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000
Can you please provide information regarding the following questions:
1. Do you outsource any of the mandatory training for clinical staff? Such as Online
training regarding Infection control, consent, safeguarding adults and children,
radicalisation and Equality and diversity.
2. If you outsource the training material in any way, what is the annual cost for this?
If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be
3. If you do not outsource, can you estimate the cost to the trust to design, maintain,
monitor and accredit this training with Skills for Health and any other accreditation
such as CPD? If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period
would be preferred.
• We designed a new Infection Prevention level 2 programme in-house in 2019 which cost
the Infection control department £3000. For the costing period 2018/19 there has been
no costs incurred to maintain and monitor this programme.
4. Do currently outsource for any other training, either classroom based or online,
that is not classed as standard mandatory training? Such as mental health in the
work place, physical restraint training or anything else along these lines.
For the period 2019/20 we have introduced Mental Health Responders to staff.
Management of Action or Potential Aggression (MAPA) training.
Team Teach Training
5. If so, can you provide the estimated annual cost for this? If you require a specific
time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.
No cost this year but for the period 2019/20 would be £4,320 for 5 cohorts = potential of 75
MAPA training – 18/19 training requirements - £1848.00
Team Teach – 18/19Training Requirements - £2230.00
6. If no, but you offer this training in-house, can you also supply us with the annual
cost for this, and frequency of training. If you require a specific time frame for this,
2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.
