Thank you for your information request on the 02 October 2019 requesting the below information:
1. Please confirm whether you use recruitment agencies to support in the recruitment of
temporary and permanent staff?
2. If yes to the above question, please can you confirm the agency spend on recruitment for the
last 12 months? Please could this be split out between temporary and permanent recruitment.
3. Please can you confirm the title/model of any recruitment contracts you have in place? (e.g.
PSL, MSP, RPO,).
4. Please confirm if you use any frameworks for recruitment? (e.g. Crown Commercial Service)
5. If any frameworks have been used, please provide details of any agreements/direct awards
made in the past 12 months?
6. If applicable, please confirm the end date of your current contract for temporary recruitment,
if a specific end date is not available please provide the start date. Please also confirm the
name(s) of the relevant temporary recruitment suppliers.
7. If applicable, please confirm the end date of your current contract for permanent recruitment,
if a specific end date is not available please provide the start date. Please also confirm the
name(s) of the relevant permanent recruitment suppliers.
8. Please confirm the categories of staff you recruit for?
1. The Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) does use recruitment agencies to support in the
recruitment of temporary and permanent staff.

3. Below are the two recruitment contracts in place:
Public Sector Resourcing (PSR RM3749) is a single lot framework through which public sector
authorities can source all contingent workers, excluding clinical workers. The strategic partner,
Alexander Mann Solutions, will provide a fully managed end-to-end service enabling hiring
managers to access contingent workers.
Permanent Recruitment Services (RM6002) is multi lot framework, which provides contracting
authorities with a comprehensive choice of pre-approved suppliers to provide recruitment services
to central government, wider public sector and third sector.

5. The direct awards detailed below have been made in the last 12 months.
- Director of Information & Technology (Direct Award under Permanent Framework)
6. The end date for the current contract for temporary recruitment is 15/01/24. The supplier is
Alexander Mann Solutions Limited.
7. The end date for the current contract for permanent recruitment is 12/11/20. There is an option
for a 2-year extension.
