Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000.

There hasn’t been any direct communication between Wirral Council and any
Government department specifically related to the rollout of 5G networks.
The Government has published a Digital Connectivity portal which has
advice for local councils in how to manage the development and rollout of
digital connectivity which includes 5G. Public Health England have also
published information on Government websites. All this information is
available for the general public to view. The only communication Wirral
Council has had with mobile mast companies has been through  planning
requests which may or may not specify 5G - again these are in the public
domain. There have been no discussion with Wirral Council ( or even
mention of) regarding the need to fell trees in relation to 5G rollout.
