5G mast and where they will be sited and who authorised this work?

The request was partially successful.

Laura Louise Lemka

Dear Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council,
I am writing to you to request the information on the 5g masts which are being installed all through the country during this lockdown period.
I would like to know where each mast will be situated and also have the council considered the detrimental health effects this will have on the whole country?
Why would the council approve such detrimental work to be carried out to damage so many peoples health? The effect this will have on the NHS alone will be significant enough to almost compete with the coronavirus which is ravaging the world.
If the council have approved the work to be carried out when was it approved?
Who were the council officials to approve the work?
What measures were looked at of effects on the community before they made their decision?
and also what measures have been put in place for the rapid decline in people health when these public assassins will be turned on?

Yours faithfully,

Laura Lemka

Steve Ball, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council

Dear Laura

I refer to your recent Freedom of Information request below, although
would note that planning information is covered by the Environmental
Information Regulations (EIR) 2004.

In response I would advise that any proposal to construct a 5G mast would
either be constructed under ‘permitted development rights’ (i.e. not
requiring permission) or following the grant of planning permission.

You refer to masts being constructed but I am not aware of any being
constructed in NPT ‘during this lockdown period’, although please note
that any such proposals before the Council would be public information
anyway, available to view on our online register at
[1]https://planningonline.npt.gov.uk (e.g. search for ‘mast’ as a key
word).

The wider issue of 5G masts and health is a matter for the UK / Welsh
Government, although when applications are made these are accompanied by
statements from the operators identifying compliance with regulations.

I trust this satisfactorily answers your enquiry.

If you are dissatisfied with the response to your request, under the
Authority's FOI Policy, you may appeal in writing setting out the reasons
why you think the decision is erroneous, to the Authority's Monitoring
Officer at the following address:-

Head of Legal & Democratic Services and Monitoring Officer

Civic Centre

Port Talbot

SA13 1PJ

In the event that you appeal and are dissatisfied with that response, you
may then appeal direct to the Information Commissioner, whose address is:

Wycliffe House,

Water Lane,

Wilmslow,

SK9 4AF.

Regards
