Thank you for your email of 17 July 2019 requesting the following information: “I wanted to ask if there are any planned military exercises between 19 August and 15
September? If yes, which dates? Is it possible, that situation will change?”
I am treating your correspondence as a request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 (FOIA).
A search for the information has now been completed within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and I
can confirm all the information in scope of your request is held.
The information you have requested can be found below:
• 1 July–31 August 2019 – routine summer stand down period – no activity
• 1 September – 15 September 2019 – no activity
Please note the above dates may change due to MOD operational requirements. If the red flags
and or lights are raised, regardless of the above, the public must not enter the range danger area.
You were previously informed on 17 July 2019 that from 2 – 6 September living firing was planned
at Cape Wrath Range. This was cancelled on 6th August 2019.
