Dear Mr Sheppard,
Thank you for your freedom of information request which was originally received on the 12th
June 2019 and subsequently amended on the 15th July 2019. Your request Could you please provide me with a list of premises that had their premises licences
revoked following licence review, between January 1 2009 and January 2019.
And could you please provide me with a list of premises that had an application for the
renewal of their premises licence rejected by the council, between January 1 2009 and
For each premises, could you please provide me with a copy of the decision report that was
produced, which should give the reason why the licence was revoked or not renewed.
I would like premises which had the following types of licence to be included in this list:
- Sale of alcohol
- Live music
- Recorded music
- Sexual Entertainment
- Night club
- Suis generis
Please find attached a spreadsheet which outlines all Licensing Act 2003 (LA2003) and
Gambling Act 2005 (GA2005) licences which were revoked between the 1st January 2009
and the 1st January 2019. Please note that no Gambling Act licences have been revoked in
the afore mentioned period.
Decision letters for each of the revocations are attached to this letter and are numbered
according to the row on the spreadsheet.
Please note that LA2003 licenses are not renewed and last indefinitely once granted. Unlike
LA2003 premises, applicants for Sexual Entertainment Venues do have to renew their
licences. Between January 1st 2009 and 1st January 2019 none of these renewals were
