EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex ( Public Footpath Hastings 379a, 364 and 364a)
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2015
To enable construction works to take place, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath
Temporary Footpath Closure Hastings 379a, 364 and 364a
Footpath 379a from TQ 83540996 to TQ 83581005 for a length of 110 metres ,
footpath 364 from TQ 83540996 to TQ 83711004 for a length of 200 metres and
footpath 364a from TQ 83590999 to TQ 83771017 for a length of 150 metres.
There is no alternative route for users of the footpath for the duration of the closure
which is required due to significant landslips in Ecclesbourne Glen which have
obstructed the footpaths.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 15 November 2015, or until the works
are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an
extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpaths still be unfit to use.
If you require any further information you should telephone the Rights of Way Office on
0345 60 80 193.
