The East Sussex (Public Footpath Hastings 379a, 364a and 417)
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2016
To protect public safety, the Secretary of State has extended the above East Sussex County
Council’s Order made on 15 May 2016 under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpaths:-

The following public footpaths lying within Hastings Country Park at Ecclesbourne Glen will be
closed:

There is no alternative route for users of the footpaths for the duration of the closure, which is
required due to significant landslips in Ecclesbourne Glen.
The closure will be in force for 18 months from 15 November 2016, which after this period
will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpaths still be unfit to
use.
