Freedom of Information Act 2000
Thank you for your request for information received on 25 March 2019 
Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides two distinct but 
related rights of access to information which impose corresponding duties on 
public authorities. These are:
• The duty to inform the applicant whether or not information is held by the 
authority and, if so,
• The duty to communicate that information to the applicant.

Dear Redbridge Borough Council, Does Redbridge keep a list of 
landlords willing to let to tenants on housing benefit Yes or No , if yes 
how many landlords were on this list per year from 2010 to 2019 ? 

The Council does not keep a list that contains landlords it knows will accept 
housing benefit although the Council may advise of agents that have previously 
rented properties to tenants reliant on housing benefit.
