Your Request for Information
I am writing in response to your recent request that we received on 18 March 2019 in
which you requested the following information under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.
Information Requested
Please would you provide the following information for your CCG:
1) the number of deaths of patients with a learning disability that occurred in the last
three years (by years defined as:
1a)
1/4/16 - 31/3/17,
1b)
1/4/17 - 31/3/18,
1c)
1/4/18 to present).
NHS Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group (HaRD CCG) does
not hold summary data related to this request. HaRD CCG is part of the national
Learning Disability Mortality Review programme to review all reported deaths of people
with a learning disability in England. It is the intention to provide an annual report on the
work of the programme therefore under Section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act
(Information Intended for Future Publication), HaRD CCG invokes its right to exempt
from providing further information at the current time.

2) the number of independent investigations into the deaths of patients with a learning
disability that you have commissioned in the last three years (defined as above)
NHS Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group has not commissioned
any independent investigations as stated in the question; however as stated in
response to Question 1 it is part of the national Learning Disability Mortality Review
programme to review all reported deaths of people with a learning disability in England.
3a) the number of deaths of patients with a learning disability that have resulted in an
inquest in the last three years (defined as above)
NHS Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group does not hold
information related to this specific question.
3b) of those inquests the number that were an Article 2 inquest
NHS Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group does not hold
information related to this specific question.
