1). Could you please provide the name (or names) of transport services used (outside of NWAS) for
secure/non-secure patient transfers/transport (excluding taxi's). Also, is there a contractual
agreement with said companies and, if so, what are the details of such an agreement?
The trust holds two contracts with private ambulance providers for the movement of patients which
NWAS will not/cannot facilitate. These contracts include an element of pre-booked provision and
facilitating ad-hoc on demand movements against approved rates.
Manone Medical Ltd – LCFT tendered contract, awarded in June 2018 for a term of 3 years (plus 1yr
option to extend)
IMT Medical Transport – LCFT tendered contract, awarded in June 2018 for a term of 3 years (plus
1yr option to extend)
In addition we have in the past, but less so since the above contracts were made, utilised the SBS
Framework for Urgent Care Transport via the 365 Response.
