Please find below the response to your recent Freedom of Information request.

Please supply a copy of the CCG’s latest IT/IM&T/Digital Strategy?
The CCG does not currently have a standalone IT/IM&T/Digital Strategy but is party
to a shared service with neighbouring CCGs and local provider trusts, and a copy of
the Informatics Shared Service Strategy 2017-2020 is attached. The CCG is also
party to Digit@LL, the Cheshire and Merseyside Digital Strategy 2018-2023, and a
copy is attached.
Does the CCG work within a shared services agreement with surrounding Trusts or
CCGs?
Yes the CCG is party to a shared services agreement with Halton and St Helens
CCGs and GP Practices, North West Boroughs Healthcare Trust, Bridgewater
Community Trust, and St Helens and Knowsley Hospital Trust, who host the service
on behalf of the partners.
Does the CCG outsource any of their IT Infrastructure services?
Yes all IT infrastructure is sourced through the shared service informatics provider

The CCG doesn’t hold this information. Services are procured and contracts held by
the Health Informatics Service hosted by St Helens and Knowsley Hospital Trust.
Who is the CCG’s current Chief Clinical Information Officer?
The CCG doesn’t have a Chief Clinical Information Officer. However the CCG has a
number of clinical leadership roles and a number of GPs across the CCG have IM&T
expertise, who advise on development of IT strategy and services.
Who is the CCG’s current CIO/ IT Director?
The CCG doesn’t have a CIO/ IT Director. However the CCG has access to
expertise and advice from Christine Walters, CIO for the shared Health Informatics
Service.
Which member of the board is responsible for IT?
John Doyle, Chief Finance Officer is the Governing Body member responsible for IT.
Please provide an organisation chart for your IM&T department?
The CCG doesn’t have an IM&T department. As described above IM&T services are
provided through a shared service.
Which member of the CCG is the SRO for the STP engagements?
Dianne Johnson, Chief Executive is SRO for STP engagement.
What proportion of the CCG IM&T Department is made up of interim staff and
permanent staff?
As above the CCG doesn’t have an IM&T department.
Is the CCG looking to migrate to the cloud in the next 2 years?
Some of the IT systems commissioned on behalf of GP Practices through the Health
Informatics Service are cloud based. Cloud based options will be considered as IT
infrastructure and other systems are replaced or re-commissioned in the next 2
years.
Are the Trust considering their options of outsourcing their IT Services in the next 3
years?
No
