Thank you for your information request indicated in bold below, which has now been
considered under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 by NHS Eastern Cheshire
Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). I am able to provide you with the following
information and responses.

1) Please supply a copy of the CCG’s latest IT/IM&T/Digital Strategy?
Our response:
1) Please find enclosed ‘Cheshire Digital Roadmap’ which details NHS Eastern
Cheshire CCG’s IT/IM&T/Digital Strategy.
You asked:
2) Does the CCG work within a shared services agreement with
surrounding Trusts or CCGs?
Our response:
2) Yes.
You asked:
3) Does the CCG outsource any of their IT Infrastructure services?

3) Yes.

6) Which member of the board is responsible for IT?

6) The Chief Finance Officer is the member of NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG’s
Governing Body responsible for ICT.
You asked:
7) Please provide an organisation chart for your IM&T department?
Our response:
7) NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG does not hold an organisational chart for the
IM&T Department as this IM&T services are commissioned from Midlands &
Lancashire Communicating Support Unit (MLCSU). You may therefore wish to
redirect your request for this information to MLCSU who can be contacted on

8) Which member of the CCG is the SRO for the STP engagements?
Our response:
8) NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG does not have a member of staff appointed as the
SRO for the STP engagements.
You asked:
9) What proportion of the CCG IM&T Department is made up of interim
staff and permanent staff?

Our response:
9) As previously advised, NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG commission MLCSU to
provide IM&T Services. NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG does not hold information
on the number of staff employed on an interim/permanent basis by MCSLU.

10) Is the CCG looking to migrate to the cloud in the next 2 years?
Our response:
10) NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG has no approved plans to migrate to the cloud
in the next two years.
You asked:
11) Are the Trust considering their options of outsourcing their IT
Services in the next 3 years?
Our response:
11) As previously advised, NHS Eastern Cheshire CCG already commission
MLCSU to provide IM&T Services. Please be advised that our local NHS Trust,
East Cheshire NHS Trust, also commission MLCSU to provide IM&T Services.

unhappy with the service you have received in relation to this Freedom of
