Hi Alice,

I wasn’t aware we were meeting (its in Sarah’s diary) but can pop along to discuss when you have finished on Mersham.

Kind regards

Dear Mark and Sarah,

I look forward to seeing you both tomorrow afternoon when I am visiting to discuss Mersham and Wye College. It would be good to touch base about this drawing too if we can.

See you in the afternoon,

Alice

Subject: Wye College: Unit 32 overlay

Dear Sarah and Mark

Further to our meeting at Wye last week, I have put together a quick sketch overlay of the longitudinal section for Unit 32. This is how Alice and I suggest the architect should approach this part of the building – both in terms of the detail provided and the solution illustrated. In our view the benefits of opening up the central first-floor room to the roof – exposing what is a highly unusual and special roof structure (even by Ashford district’s standards!), greatly outweighs the loss of the partially surviving C17th floor structure.

I won’t share this with the architect until I hear back from you.

Thanks

Tom
