Thank you for your request for the information detailed below which we received on 20 September
2018. Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
You requested the following information and our response has been provided below: Can you explain why the following licences have a post date of 3rd September for
3 Dorset letter dated 30 August
4 Cornwall letter dated 30 August
5 Cornwall letter dated 30 August
6 Devon letter dated 30 August
7 Devon letter dated 30 August
12 Devon letter dated 31 August
15 Devon letter dated 31 August
17 Somerset letter dated 31 August
18 Somerset letter dated 31 August
The above areas were granted bTB badger control licences in previous years. These licences are
valid for 4 years. The Authorisation Letters informed the respective licence holders the date on
which their licensed activities could begin for this year. The list of Additional Authorised Persons is
made available to each licence holder on or before this start date, which can be later than the date
on the authorisation letter.

As you may be aware, under the legislation should

done no later than 40 working days after the date of this letter.
If you are not content with the outcome of that complaint or the internal review, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Commissioner cannot make
a decision unless you have exhausted the internal review procedure provided by Natural England.
