Dear Mr O’Hooley
Thank you for your request for information dated 8 July 2018. You have asked for information relating to the
transcript of the 2014 Malcolm Pendlebury lecture by William Moyes
This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the FOI Act).
I shall answer your request for information:
1)  Please can you give full details of when it was removed? and
2)  Please can you give full details of who authorised it's removal?
In 2017 the General Dental Council launched its new website. At no point was the lecture removed from the
GDC website. Information mapping was led by the Communications team to transfer relevant content from the
old site to the new site. Only content identified as relevant was migrated to the new web site, which did not
include the 2014 Malcolm Pendlebury lecture by William Moyes
3)  Please can you include the full transcript or a link to it in your response?
Attached is a copy of the lecture that we hold
4)  Please can you give full details of any use of the Google privacy tool or Google remove outdated
content tool, to facilitate the removal of the full transcript of the aforementioned lecture from search
We do not hold this information. Once content is no longer available on a website google indexing will omit
from their search results after a period of time.
