Dear Ms Lauder

Freedom of Information Act 2000 – Information Request

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act which was received
on 3 April 2018.  I can confirm that we hold part of the information you have requested.  You asked the
following questions, reproduced in bold below:

Could you please provide me with details of:

How  many  times  paramedics  moving  and  handling  training  has  been  out  of  date  when
still carrying out their duties.

Could you provide this for years 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017.

Could you also provide details of average time training is out of date.

Please  note  the  Trust’s  Oracle  Learning  Management  System  (OLM)  came  on  line  in  the  last
two years.  We are unable to break down the data as requested as our computer system is not
configured  to  search  for  this  automatically  and  therefore  it  would  be  necessary  for  each
individual record to be reviewed manually.  By our estimates this would take somewhere in the
region  of  20  minutes  per  person  and  therefore,  the  number  of  hours  required  to  obtain  and
provide the information by the fee – set out in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection
(Appropriate  Limit  and  Fees)  -  Regulations  2004  –  of  £25  per  hour,  would  exceed  the  £450
threshold and as such, we have engaged the exception offered by S12(1) of the Act.  To comply
would mean that the cost to us exceeds the disproportionate cost limit set and would significantly
divert management resources.
