Dear Sir/Madam
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)
Request ID: REQ03958
Thank you for your request for information relating to wayleave agreement.
Please could you inform me if the Council has a policy to charge Internet providers
for the signing off of a wayleave agreement for the installation of fibre optic cable
into premises owned, but not occupied, by the Council?
We can confirm information for wayleave agreements is accessible to you via the
Council’s website on the following link:-
http://www.coventry.gov.uk/landownership
We therefore do not have to provide the information as per Section 21 of the FOIA.
If this is the case, please provide me with a list of the companies that you have
levied such charges against, together with a copy of the relevant policy.
The Council’s Property department deal with every wayleave agreement on an individual
basis, therefore once an organisation has submitted the details online, paid for the
application fees, the details of these organisations are not released to the public.

confer an automatic right to re-use the information. You can use any information supplied
for the purposes of private study and non-commercial research without requiring further
permission. Similarly, information supplied can also be re-used for the purposes of news
reporting. An exception to this is photographs. Please contact us if you wish to use the
information for any other purpose.
Should you wish to make any further requests for information, you may find what you are
looking for is already published on the Council’s web site and in particular its FOI/EIR
