On the cover letter, think might be better to start with more of the positives, something along lines
of
- Option to Extend food col ection throughout the area
- Option to collect glass
- Option for separate col ection of paper and card, which wil give substantial savings
which can be invested in other services
- Option for three weekly black bin col ection (need to put somewhere that separate
weekly nappy collection), which will give substantial savings which can be invested in
other services
- Charging for garden waste col ection
Thanks
James

Hi
We’ve been testing the leaflet with residents, based on this feedback I’ve made some very smal
changes to the leaflet (new version attached).
We’ve also added in another question on the questionnaire about the proposed charge for garden
waste (new version attached).
Please can you review these versions?
Thanks
Karen.

Hello James
I hope you are having a relaxing time in spain.
You were forwarded a copy of the waste consultation leaflets on the 7th and these need to be
finalised by monday lunchtime go to print next Tuesday to meet the deadline for consultation
commencing.
Whilst we have booked a meeting which is scheduled for wednesday to discuss the consultation the
leaflets need to go to print therefore could we do any discussions regarding the content of these etc
over email this weekend.
On the consultation I briefed a packed clifton parish council meeting on it last night ( they were
packed to discuss the LDF) and focussed on the costs, savings and benifits of getting recycling up and
not col ecting half ful black bins and did not recieve any negative comments. Surprised to say they
were al nodding in agreement and supportive including on green waste col ection charging.
I look forward to your comments on the leafletes.
Ian

Hi
Please find attached the draft leaflet copy and questionnaire for the waste consultation.
The leaflet will be delivered to every household during the first two weeks of the consultation. We
are encouraging people to complete the questionnaire online but making paper copies available at
libraries, HWRC etc.
We wil be testing both documents out with some residents shortly.
Karen.
