Freedom of Information Act Request: GIS/Mapping Software
I am writing in response to your email of 23/02/2018 requesting information
about GIS/Mapping Software.
Please see below the answers to your questions.
1. The name & provider of any GIS/Map software?
GIS Providers are Pitney Bowes MapInfo and Cadcorp.
2. The number & types of license held for each individual GIS or Map
46 MapInfo Professional licences and a blanket, organisation wide, licence
for Cadcorp web based mapping.
3. The price of the licenses held?
£204 per MapInfo Pro licence and Cadcorp licence included in the overall
purchase of the system.
4. The renewal date or contract length of the licenses held?
Renewal date: MapInfo Pro - March 2019, Cadcorp - March 2021.
Can you also please disclose the number of any specific GIS staff within the
council and their job titles?
Staff: 1 FTE x Senior GIS Officer, 2 PTE x GIS Technicians.
If you are not satisfied with my response to your request for information, you
may ask the Council for an internal review of this decision. You should write to
Paul Clisby, Legal Services Manager, Warrington Borough Council, Quattro,
Buttermarket Street, Warrington, WA1 1BN, giving details of your complaint.
You should do this as soon as possible, or, in any case, within two months of
your request being refused.
If, following the outcome of the internal review, you remain dissatisfied with the
Council's response to your information request, you have the right under section
50 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to appeal to the Information
