Freedom of Information Act Request 2018/035-1
Thank you for your email dated 20th February 2018 requesting further clarifications in regards
City’s Freedom of Information Act 2000 disclosure made on the 15th February 2018. For ease
of reference, your questions are reproduced below in bold followed by our responses.
However I asked for budget headings, which is more specific than 'pay costs' and 'non
pay costs'.
1. By pay costs do you mean employee salaries?
City, University of London neither confirms nor deny that it holds information falling within the
description specified in question one of your request. The duty in section 1(1) (a) of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 does not apply, by virtue of Section 40 (2) of the Act.
Information available under Data Protection Act 1998 and sub Section 45 (5) (b) (i). This
should not be taken as an indication that the information you requested is or is not held by the
University.
2. Can you please specify the budget headings for 'non pay costs' ie - promotional
material, training, food and drink for events etc etc.
The budget headings for non pay costs includes:
1. Promotional material and office costs which includes; office expenses, academic materials
training activities and travel, conference.
2. Training activities and travel costs which includes; Conferences and travel/hotels and
3. Events and hospitality which includes; room hire, catering/hospitality, and subsistence.
