Dear Mr Linnie
Freedom of Information request 9046697
I refer to your mail requesting an Internal Review of the response you received to your
Freedom of Information request.
You were unhappy that the original response did not cover much of the information that you
had asked for. I have been in touch with the team that provided the initial response and have
been able to add to what they originally sent.
There was some misunderstanding about what exactly you were asking for and I have asked
staff that should there be a lack of clarity in future they should always contact the person
requesting the information so that they can get a correct response sent out the first time of
replying.
I apologise to you for any inconvenience that you have been caused and present here a
revised response to your Freedom of Information request:
1. Total fees paid to Winckworth Sherwood Solicitors in each of the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
These are in relation to property purchases and also other matters.

2. In each year, please provide a breakdown of what the funds were paid in relation to. For instance,
'in 20XX, £X was paid across that period for conveyancing, while £Y was paid for managing education
payroll services', etc.
Payments are in respect of conveyancing or other legal matters in relation to property or subsidiary
company matters.
3. In the case of funds paid in the process of being distributed to third parties, for example payroll
services, please provide figures both for the amount paid to Winckworth Sherwood and the amount
eventually received by the third party. For instance, if salaries were being paid to staff via Winckworth
Sherwood, 'in 20XX £X was paid for education payroll services, £Y being the total amount received
by the employees concerned', or if the fees paid were in relation to the purchase of a property, 'in
20XX £X was paid for the purchase of Y property, including the price agreed for the property of £A
and stamp duty of £B'.
