Under the Freedom of Information Act, please provide answers to the following:
1.
What is the out of hours support service for the IT Department?
1.A) If you have a policy for the above, please provide this.
2.
Is the out of hours arrangement part of the staff contract or best endeavours?
3.
Is this out of hours support paid and if so, what is the payment structure that is used?
4.
If the out of hours support is not provided by internal staff, is this contracted out to external
providers?

What is the out of hours support service for the IT Department?
NorMAN out of house service.
1.A) If you have a policy for the above, please provide this.
Section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides that:
“
Information is exempt information if its disclosure under this Act would, or would be likely to,
prejudice the commercial interests of any person (including the public authority holding it)”.
In this case, your request for disclosure of the information would be likely to prejudice the
commercial interests of the current and future contract holders as it would be prejudicial to
commercial interests, and fair tendering for other contractors, to disclose this information
before a tender advert is produced by the University.
2.
Is the out of hours arrangement part of the staff contract or best endeavours?
No this is an external service through NorMAN out of house service.
3.
Is this out of hours support paid and if so, what is the payment structure that is used?
Not applicable.
4.
If the out of hours support is not provided by internal staff, is this contracted out to external
providers?
Yes, NorMAN Out of Hours Service.
