Annex A
Dear Jeff Smith,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 5 November 2017 in which
you ask:
I request full details of the Work & Health Programme procedure and regulations, under which
a Jobseeker’s Allowance or Universal Credit claimant can be mandated to undertake
psychological counselling or other medical treatment, as a condition of receiving their benefit.
The Department does not hold the information you have requested.
It may be helpful if I explain that The Work and Health Programme does not have any
procedure or regulations around mandating customers to undertake psychological counselling
or other medical treatment nor is this a condition of participating on the Programme.
If you have any queries about this letter please contact me quoting the reference number
above.
Yours sincerely,
DWP Strategy FoI Team
