Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) review request received on
23 November 2017. You asked:
I believe however that you have misunderstood the request and thus the
reason given for refusal is misapplied.
I was asking for the latest available copies (as distinct from requesting that
you produce "fresh" copies to satisfy the request).
Please reconsider your response in light of this clarification.
I am of a senior grade to the person who dealt with your request; I was not
involved previously, and can confirm that I have carried out an internal review.
I am now in a position to respond to you and I apologise for the delay in doing
Referring back to your original request to provide you with a list of system
reports that are generated for the senior management team of the Child
Maintenance Group (CMG) to routinely track performance; I recognise that
our previous response could have clarified the reports utilised by the senior
management team to track performance; as a result of this you will find
included with this response:
Annex A - Case Closure Overview October 2017 – provides a view of the
volume and stage in process of live CSA case closures.
Annex B - October 2017 CMS Compliance – provides a view of cases
contributing to current liability for the last 12 months.
Annex C - Application Throughput (New-Old Case) - October 17 – provides a
view of new applications throughput to initial clearance by case.
Annex D - All SR In Month Throughput Oct 17 – provides a view of service
requests intake, clearance and work on hand.
Annex E - CMS Headline Performance Collected and Arranged - provides a
view Maintenance Collected (C&P) and Arranged (DP) for CMS and CSA and
Annex F - CMG Performance Dashboard – provides a high level view of CMS
data that is utilised by CMG Senior Leaders each month.
Annex G - Debt on all MoPFs - combined monthly output_Nov17 - A monthly
view of cms2012 Arrears amounts broken down by segment and the method
of payment from used by the paying parent.
We have not included Caselists as they are not management reports and they
contain client data; personal information about a third party is treated as
exempt information under section 40(2) of the FOIA if one of the conditions
set out in section 40(3) of the FOIA is satisfied. This is because access to
personal information is treated under the provisions of the Data Protection Act
1998 (DPA) and can only be released to you where such disclosure would not
breach that person’s right to privacy.
The reports provided are used to complete internal operational data checks,
they are not intended for publication and are not Official Statistics; they have
not been subject to the same accuracy checks as published data and may
show discrepancies with published data.
