You asked : “Please can you confirm the following information for the years 2013, 2014,
2015, 2016 and YTD 2017:
In relations to companies in which a paying parent with a CMS open case (ie.
- Fines or sanctions for lack of the provision of information when requested
- Fines or sanctions for not applying a DEO when requested to do so
- Number of times the CMS has issued civil proceedings against an employer
for refusal to comply with demands made by the CMS.”
To comply with your request individual cases would need to be checked and
we estimate that this would exceed the appropriate cost limit, which for central
Government has been set at £600. This represents the equivalent of one
person spending 3.5 working days in determining whether the Department
holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.
Under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act the Department is not
obliged to comply with your request.
However, under section 16 of the Act we should assist the requester in
helping amend their request so that it may fall beneath the cost limit. Due to
your request being too specific we are unable to provide assistance to narrow
