Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) received on 7th
September 2017, seeking the following information: Thank you for the information that the BBC entered into settlement agreements with 17 BBC employees between 1
April 2016 and 31 March 2017.
Please confirm or deny if the electronic personnel file of each of these individuals records a complaint (upheld or not)
of sexual harassment, bullying, fraud or other internal complaint in the five years prior to their departure from the
We have understood your question to be asking whether the electronic personnel files of the 17 individuals
(that entered into a settlement agreement with the BBC between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017) contain
any record of the individual having been accused of sexual harassment, bullying, fraud or other crimes or
misconduct. In line with your request, this response is limited to five years prior to the individual’s
departure from the BBC, or five years prior to the settlement agreement (where the individual is still

against these 17 individuals.
Please note that, as set out in section 6(1)(b)(i ) of the FOI Act, our subsidiaries (including BBC Studios &
Post Production Ltd, UKTV, BBC Global News Ltd and BBC Worldwide Ltd), as well as the charities BBC
Media Action and BBC Children in Need, are not subject to the Act, therefore information for their
personnel is not included in the figures quoted above.
