Dear Mr Gurney,
We write regarding your email to the BBC of 8 September 2017 which states:
Why, then, is the doc/ directory missing?
This regards your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act (“the
FOIA”) on 1 August 2017 for the Barley source code. The BBC has supplied you with
all the information it holds on the Barley source code in correspondence dated 8
September. The BBC has, therefore, fulfilled its obligation under section 1(1) of the
FOIA to provide ‘any person making a request for information to a public authority;
(a) To be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds information of
the description specified in the request, and
(b) If that is the case to have that information communicated to him.’
As also stated in that correspondence, if you are dissatisfied with this response, you
