2017/540 -PNC Review
In response to your recent request for information regarding;
My question is during 2016 to June 2017 how many PNC records have been
routinely removed by North Wales Police that did not involve an ACPO Criminal
Records Office application i.e. meaning no information if it was sourced would be
found on the Police National Computer.
North Wales Police do not routinely remove records from the Police National Computer
(PNC). All updated records stay on PNC until the 100 birthday of the nominal, except where
there is a request to remove it.
Please find attached a previous similar FOI Request response (2017/445) which may also be
of interest to you.
