Public Space Protection Order
Wrexham County Borough Council introduced a Public Space Protection Order for
Wrexham Town on 1st August 2016, which prohibits sleeping in Wrexham Bus
Station (King’s Street) or any public toilet during the hours of darkness (the PSPO).
Since the PSPO came into effect, please can you let us know:
1.
How many Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) have been issued to people for
sleeping in Wrexham Bus Station or a public toilet?
2.
How many people have been prosecuted for breach of the PSPO for
sleeping in Wrexham Bus Station or a public toilet?
3.
How many people have been: (a) fined by a magistrate; and / or (b)
issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for sleeping in Wrexham
Bus Station or a public toilet in breach of the PSPO?
Response:
Nil – no FPNs have been issued for the above mentioned offences
