Re: Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 – Request for Information
Thank you for your email which was received by the University on 26 April 2017 timed 18:39
hours, requesting the following information:
(1) your policy or policy guidance for duties under the Counter-Terrorism and Security
Act 2015 duties for the various local authorities listed in Schedule 6, known as
“Prevent”;
(2) your policy relating to Internet filtering, blocking and prevention of access to
material deemed inappropriate;
(3) the name of any providers of Internet filtering and blocking services that you use, or
else a statement that you do not block or filter content at all;
(4) a list of agreements, arrangements or Memorandums of Understanding between
yourselves and bodies such as the Internet Watch Foundation and the Counter
Terrorism Internet Referral Unit of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) to receive lists
of illegal content, for instance for the purposes of blocking.
As the University of Glasgow is a Scottish Public Authority, your request is subject to the
terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“FOISA”). The University
acknowledges receipt of your request and confirms a response will be sent to you promptly;
and in any event not later than
