Dear Post Office Limited,

On National Television recently (The One Show) it was stated that Post Office Ltd finally admitted that access to the Horizon system was available to outside parties. Considering this is a claim you have constantly denied for many years before Parliament and Criminal Courts can you please supply the following information.

1. When was the CEO of Post Office ltd Paula Vennells made aware of this. As she has been questioned on this matter before Parliament and denied 3rd party access to the Horizon system was this because:

A. She was unaware that she was miss leading Parliament
B. She chose not to disclose the truth
C. She was instructed not to disclose such information.

2. As this claim has featured heavily in numerous Court cases regarding Criminal Convictions can you confirm the following.

A. That Post Office Ltd has contacted every single Court involved with these prosecutions and informed them that they were mislead by Post Office Ltd regarding 3rd party access to the computer systems.
B. The department and job titles of those tasked in remedying your untruthful actions.

3. Since the introduction of the Horizon system can you confirm that during interviews with prospective Postmasters during interview and subsequent appointment to a computer generated cash figure they were personally liable for were Postmasters made clearly aware that 3rd parties had access to the computer system. A simple yes or no will suffice.

4. As Post Office Ltd seem to be moving premises can you confirm the nearest Police Station to your head Office where a member of the public may wish to report suspected criminal conduct.

Yours faithfully,

Andrea west

Dear FOIA,

Thought it was a very straightforward request what date did the head of Post Office Ltd become aware that the information that she had passed onto numerous MP's and courts of the land via herself and employees regarding 3rd party access to the computer system Horizon was untrue. It is all well and good senior Post Office Management laughing that this is not important as the taxpayer will cover any compensation claims awarded against the Post Office but it very much in the public's interest to know when the head of the Post Office knew false information was given to HMG and courts and what steps have been taken to remedy this false information Post Office Ltd has maintained was true for a number of years or would it just be easier to wait for the court dates and get your answers then.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea West

Dear Post Office Limited,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Post Office Limited's handling of my FOI request '3rd Party Access to Horizon system.'.

As is your custom and practice you have totally ignored this FOIR and despite the usual childish antics of a spoiled brat it is very much in the public's interest to know why the head of a taxpayer funded has both been before parliament making claims that were untrue and also why employees of Post Office Ltd have supplied incorrect evidence under oath to courts of the land. Despite Post Office Ltd attempting to delay and stop investigations into their conduct a class action against the taxpayer owned Post Offices proceeding and has the potential to cost the taxpayer many many millions of pounds due to the dishonesty and incompetence of Post Office Ltd senior staff so it is very much in the public's interest to know why false information was passed to both HMG and Courts of the land and if those who gave the false information were aware of the fact.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/3...

Yours faithfully,

Andrea West

Dear FOIA,

Thank you for the reminder about Post Office Ltd failing to keep to the laws required response time. However as per normal the Post Office is is trying to delay the response as is their usual style as Post Office Ltd feels it is not in the public's interest to know why they gave false information to parliamentary committees, numerous responses to MP's letters from constituents and indeed Courts of the land after their officials have clearly while under oath given false information to the courts.

This is why there are a number of criminal case reviews under way and the government owned and tax payer funded Post Office is facing a huge class action where costs have already reached obscene amounts and the damages that will surely follow will cost the taxpayer many, many millions of pounds to repay those victims of the Post Offices greed, corruption and incompetence. FOIR you will also note the request for the local Police station where members of the public can raise concerns about possible criminal activities by Post Office employees which again the Post Office has chosen to ignore. I understand there is an offence of "abuse of public office". Anybody following the conduct of Post Office ltd and that includes many cross party MP's who are highly critical of the Post Offices conduct and failure to remedy their failings are aware the Post Office continually at the taxpayers expense seek to delay the resolution of this matter highlighted by the Post Office FOIR teams consistent failure to deal with requests in the legal time limit allowed, however i am sure Ms Moody will respond as quickly as she can.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea West
