Thank you for your correspondence received on 7 April 2017 requesting the following
I have thoroughly read through the legislation you have directed me to and I would
like to know where Nootropics stand in regards to prohibition as I believe the list falls
short to mention these. i am interested in Modafinil and Adrafinil in particular.
Your enquiry has been considered to be a request for information in accordance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
Neither Modafinil nor Adrafanil are controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, therefore
they are not substances analysed under the Armed Forces Compulsory Drug Testing
As previously advised, Armed Forces Compulsory Drugs Test adapts its testing schedule
