Dear Mr Cadbury
Environmental Information Regulations 2004
I can confirm that the information requested is held by Cheshire East Council. I have detailed below the
information that is being released to you.
The Council has been working on the Langley Playing Fields project.
Progress so far is as follows:-
o Topographical, ecological and drainage surveys carried out.
o Development of a master plan (attached) informed by specialist surveys and analysis has been
completed.
o Consultation has been carried out with local residents and other stakeholders including Sutton
Parish Council and the local Police.
o As agents of Cheshire East Council, ANSA are currently working with Langley Playing Fields Steering
group to form project groups to look at each area of the master plan. These will subsequently be
progressed as individual projects, seeking additional funding where necessary
o The funding that is currently available will not cover the delivery of all aspects of the Master Plan.
There is some S106 (Developer Contribution from Dane Housing) available at present. Therefore,
infrastructure works are being prioritised by the Project Steering Group.
o drainage and footpaths are considered top of the priority list. Requests for quotes for the drainage
works are currently being sought.
o the remaining money will then be utilised as match funding for external grants to build appropriate
budgets for the rest of the projects. We are in the early stages of developing these projects.
Please quote the reference number 559733 in any future communications.
