Problems and changes to real time bus information system
Please could I request copies of all correspondence and emails (both internal and external),
meeting minutes, documents and reports relating to problems, faults and future changes to the
system and infrastructure providing real time bus information in Cambridgeshire covering July
2015 to February 2016 inclusive.
Locating and extracting all relevant information would exceed the 18 hour appropriate limit in
terms of time and cost and therefore, this request is being refused under Section 12(1) of the
Freedom of Information Act.
It would require a minimum of 3 currently employed officers (and 1 officer who has left) to
manually search their enterprise vault checking each email sent and received between July
2015 and February 2016 to check content and identify whether they are relevant to the request.
It would then be necessary for officers to either send individual emails to themselves or print
them off and scan them in as emails from the archive vault cannot be attached to or saved in a
Each vault is likely to contain thousands of emails in this period relating to the system and
infrastructure providing real time bus information.
In addition, Cambridgeshire County Council would also need to contact 5 other local authorities
and its suppliers for some of the reports/minutes which relate to the future of the system as the
Council is in a 6 partner local authority consortium.
With consideration to the above, the Council estimates that it will take in excess of eighteen
hours to locate and extract all relevant information and as such, this request is refused in full
under section 12(1).
