Strategic study briefing information: Northern Trans-pennine
Dear Highways England Company Limited,
I am writing to ask for information related to the Highways England strategic study: Northern Trans-Pennine.
In connection with this study, I would like to ask for the following:
(1) All briefing documents, including terms of reference and assumptions to be used, which have been sent to the consultants for this study. I am not requesting any commercial information relating to their contracts, only briefings covering the work itself. I am happy for any documents and communications that combine both aspects of commissioning the consultants to be suitably redacted.
(2) Any documents or discussion papers covering how the wider economic benefits are going to be judged in this study. I understand this is likely to differ from the current WebTAG process.
I am not sure from information received at recent stakeholder meetings whether this means the analysis of these benefits will differ for each study, so I would like to request both specific details of how wider economic benefits will be handled in this study, and any general methodology being prepared centrally by Highways England for use across all the current studies.
(3) The results of recent origin and destination surveys relevant to this study.
