Dear Essex County Council,

Regarding the decision to remove support for the 250 and 251 evening bus services in West Essex, could you please provide:

* All documents related to any public consultation(s), including the consultation document itself and any consultation response prepared.
* All impact assessments and supporting documentation including, but not limited to, impact on small businesses/local economy, education, environment, health, social inclusion, equality (and in particular with regard to elderly and disabled people and those with mobility problems), community groups/organisations and participation in local democracy.
* Details and conclusions of steps taken to ensure that the reported number of passenger journeys were representative of the actual number of passenger journeys.
*All relevant budgetary papers, officers reports, minutes and decision documents as well as the dates, venues, attendees and relevant decisions made at meetings relating to the proposal and ultimate removal of services, and whether or not these meetings were open to the public.

Although much of the requested information was provided one of the most important pieces - Details and conclusions of steps taken to ensure that the reported number of passenger journeys were representative of the actual number of passenger journeys - is missing.

As the decision to remove the subsidy was based on passenger numbers it's clearly essential that the decision was based on accurate information and reasonable to ask what checks were in place to ensure that was the case.
