D100 and other leaflets
Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,
Could you please provide up-to-date copies of the following leaflets:
D100
INF1D
INF2D
INF4D
INF5D
INF46
INS160
These used to be available on direct.gov.uk (e.g. http://www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/onlinel... or www.direct.gov.uk/motoringleaflets) but now these two sites has been shut down.
Why aren't these available online anymore?
Could you also provide a full list of leaflets (i.e. which are intended for the general public) which are currently in use by DVLA.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Williams
Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,
Sorry, one more thing, could you confirm if there is a D3 application form in current use, and if so could you also provide the relevant guidance notes / leaflet (I presume this would be INFD3).
If there is no D3 in current use, could you tell me what D3 used to be for if it ever existed?
Thanks.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Williams

Just to let you know that I have actually found
INF46 (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/sy...)
and INF4D (https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...)
on the website, but I still need the other leaflets.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Williams

Dear Mr Toft,
Thank you for your reply. It's very much appreciated to have a careful, complete, and prompt response from you.
I don't want to dispute the fact that INS160 is now obsolete, if that's the case then that's the way it is.
But I am a bit confused—is there now no informational leaflet sent out with V5Cs? I appreciate that it had some information about the difference between old and new V5Cs but it also had 15 odd pages of general information (about the V5C) which surely is still applicable? I don't really understand why this is now obsolete.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Williams
Dear Mr Williams,
Thank you for your e-mail concerning the reply you received on FOIR4115.
DVLA's Vehicle Customers Services area have advised that the Agency continuously reviews the methods with which we communicate with customers to make sure they get access to the appropriate messages at the right time. As more and more services are available online, it makes sense to include additional information there, at the same time as being able to update online information more quickly than paper documents. However, if a customer particularly wants information in paper form, we can accommodate most requests once made, provided the leaflet is still in use. In the case of the INS 160, this leaflet is now obsolete as it contained information that is now available either on the new V5C certificate or on relevant licensing forms. All the information is also readily available from www.gov.uk
Other information previously contained on the INS160, such as the address of the nearest Local Office, is no longer applicable.
I hope this explains the situation.
Regards,
David A Morgan
