The request was successful.

Dear Sir/Madame

I am a lecturer with the University of Nottingham and an ex infection control nurse.

I am undertaking a PhD and as a part of this am examining the Hand Hygiene policies of all Acute, PCT and Mental Health Trusts in England

Through general internet searching I have been acquire about 30% of these policies. Your organisation is not one of these.

Therefore I would like to request your trusts most recent hand hygiene policy. An e-mail attachment would be great.

Dear Mark,

Re: Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act relating to:

The Trust's Hand Hygiene Policy

Please find attached four key documents which the Trust uses to promote
its Hand Hygiene Policy. Hand hygiene is referred to in Section B,
paragraph 2.1 of the attached Infection Prevention and Control Policy, and
Section B page 12 refers to our arrangements for using the Acute Trust
Policies in our Localities.

I have also attached the three acute hand hygiene policies that we use.
Our staff access these through the intranet link referred to in the
policies.

As a Trust, we are also embarking upon a 'Get Naked in November' campaign
to promote hand hygiene and bare below the elbows, which has been reported
at Trust Board. We also participate in the NPSA's cleanyourhands campaign.

In providing you with this information we make the following statement in
relation to the Reuse of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005. As
such this information supplied may not be used in any way in which it can
be `sold on' to third parties without the express written consent of

as you will be charging for it, then you must first write to myself for
approval subject to the aforementioned regulations.

I trust that this information is helpful. Should you be dissatisfied with
this response please contact me on the number above.
