Information Act (‘the Act’).

The College does not disclose the names of staff other than those already
published on the College’s external website, which is accessible at:

This is because under Section 40(2) of the Act, when dealing with requests
for personal information about third parties other than the applicant, the
College has to consider whether disclosure of such information would be
contrary to any of the Principles of the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR). Section 40(2) of the Act provides that information is
exempt from disclosure if it is the personal data of an individual other
than the requester and where one of the conditions listed in section
40(3A) (3B) or 40(4A) is satisfied. In this case, College staff other than
those whose details are published on the website, have no expectation, for
example, under the College’s Transparency obligations, that their personal
data will be used in this way. Publication of staff personal data would
therefore be unfair to those individuals and not be consistent with the
First Data Protection Principle in Article 5 of the GDPR.

Additionally, whilst there may be in certain circumstances, a legitimate
interest in processing personal data to accommodate compliance with the
Act, such interest is not considered to outweigh the rights and freedoms
requiring the protection of the personal data of the individual data
subjects concerned.

Therefore, on this occasion the College declines to disclose the
information that you have requested in this part of your request.
