Dear Mr Johnson,

Further to our acknowledgment email on 29th June, I write to ask for some clarification, please.

Please could you clarify which senior staff review you seek information in relation to as there are two main committees. These are Professorial Pay Review which relates to senior academic staff and Senior Leadership which relates to Heads of Functions and Schools, University Executive Board (UEB) and Deans. Please could you clarify if you are seeking information in relation to senior academic or professional services staff or both?

Please be aware that if compliance with your request would be estimated to exceed the appropriate costs limit established by section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we may not be able to determine whether we hold the requested information.

Your request is on hold pending receipt of your clarification.

Kind regards,

Sinead Latham

Dear Kevin Johnson,

We have completed the compilation of information in response to your
request.

We can confirm that we do hold some information of the description
specified in your request. Our responses are given below each limb of your
request and attached.

Note A:

Please note: some information that amounts to personal data, specifically
the names and salary/employment details of some University employees has
been withheld under section 40(2) of the FOIA by virtue of s40 (3)(a)(i).

Section 40(2) of the FOIA allows a public authority to withhold
information from a response to a request under the FOIA when the
information requested is personal data relating to someone other than the

information of these individuals, would not be within their reasonable
expectations and as such would be unfair and in breach of the first data
protection principle which requires personal data to be processed fairly
and lawfully.
