2020 CCTV burglary and theft statistics

The request was partially successful.

Dear West Midlands Police,

I am researching the impact of CCTV on burglary and theft cases and would like to request:
- 2020 stats on burglary and theft cases solved and proved with CCTV
- 2020 stats on burglary and theft cases not solved because of poor CCTV footage quality

Yours faithfully,
Will Waldron

Su Goddard,

Dear Will Waldron

FOI Request Reference: 55A/21

Thank you for your request for information, received 13/1/2021

REQUEST

As below

CLARIFICATION REQUIRED

I am writing to ask you to clarify your request. This is because we need further details from you in order to identify and locate the information.

Please can you provide the exact date parameter you require.

Also we can provide burglary and cctv stats - however we cannot provide the cctv information you require as it is embedded within the body of the crime report and each record would need to be assessed to retrieve the information. Do you want the burglary and theft stats as a stand alone item without the cctv?

If so please re word your request.

Please contact me if you need assistance with this.

To enable us to proceed with your request I would be grateful if you could provide the clarification outlined above within 40 working days of this correspondence. After receiving your reply, your request will be considered and you will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days, as defined by the Act, subject to the application of any statutory exemptions. If you choose not to respond then your request will be closed.
